tree has saved about 200 people during the devastation.

were men women girls and boys and even some children of just 40 days.
People
offer prayers to this tree.
They
call it ‘life saver’.
Mokshagundam

tagore visited the place along with 7th Nizam Mir osman Ali Khan.
On
Tagore’s advice only local media was introduced in the Osmania University.
The
Chairman of the Drafting committee of the Indian Constitution BR Ambedkar met
Osman Ali khan and got scholarship for his hugher education.
Mir
Osman Ali khan’s court was a composition of the people from various parts of
the India.

resident used to stay at Kothi in the city.
It
was the center of the literary giants like Maqdhum Mohiddin.
A
40 days boy that survived on the tree became a
great Urdu shaheri poet. And wrote his childhood experience a long poem
in Urdu.
The
city has produced national and international recognized intellectuals.
There
were communists and democrats as well.
There
were great political orators like
Rabindranath
Tagore and the Nizam of Hyderabad had developed a deep sense of mutual respect
and admiration over the years and the one thing that bonded them was education.
In 1933, Tagore was invited by the Nizam to visit Hyderabad. The poet who had
earlier visited some other places in this region, gladly accepted the
invitation forwarded by Nawab Mehdi Nawaz Jung, who was then one of the top
officials of the Nizam government.

There
was communists revolt since 1946 and the police action by the Indian government
has annexed Nizam state in to India.
Andhra
area was merged with Telangana area of Nizam estate to form Andhrapradesh.
Kondapalli
Sitharamayya the thespian of Naxalite movement escaped from Osmania Hospital in
1982.
There
was a rise of anti-Andhra sentiment that led to reoeganization of the
Andhrapradesh and a new state Telangana was formed.
Now
the Osmania Hospital buildings became so old and ready to collaps.
The
government wanted to demolish the hospital and planning to either constructing
new building or shifting it to some other place out side the city.
Heritage
lovers raised their voice against this move. They want the preservation of the
building.
